Major Exhibition Fund

The Major Exhibition Series is the hallmark of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston’s programs and its commitment to present the best art of today to the community. Since its founding in 1948, this mission has directed the Museum’s activities and focus. These large-scale presentations feature work by leading artists working the vanguard of contemporary art as well as thematic presentations that address timely ideas and issues. Exhibitions presented in the Brown Foundation Gallery are recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally and are supported by the patrons, benefactors and donors to the Major Exhibition Fund—individuals, foundations, and corporations who make gifts of $10,000 or more annually to the Museum to support these shows. The Museum offers four giving levels for supporters of the Major Exhibition Fund: Donor ($10,000-$14,999); Benefactor ($15,000-$24,999); Patron ($25,000-$49,999); and Major Patron ($50,000+).

Contributors to the Major Exhibition Fund receive the following benefits:
Prominent listing on the title wall of each exhibition in The Brown Foundation Gallery
Recognition in major exhibition announcements, invitations, press releases and other publications produced for each major exhibition, which are widely distributed throughout Houston, the region and nationally and internationally
Invitations to private dinners and special events associated with each major exhibition
Complimentary copies of Museum-produced catalogues for major exhibitions, with recognition of support as a contributor to the Major Exhibition Fund
Listing in the Museum’s bi-monthly Calendar
